Mr Flobadob is a British online racing driver, driving on various platforms such as the PC and XBOX 360. He started racing online in 2008, then aged 17, on the PC game "F1 Challenge 99-02", after dabbling in such games as Grand Prix 2, Grand Prix Manager 2 and Grand Prix 4, as well as the official Playstation F1 games.

Early life

Born 30th March 1991, Mr Flobadob started playing racing games at the age of six, starting with Grand Prix 2. After playing that for several years, he finally upgraded to Grand Prix 4, though he said he never felt the same "fondness" for it as he did for Grand Prix 2. Some time later, in 2008, he bought F1 Challenge 99-02 at the recommendation of a friend, and his journey into online racing began.

Outside RRR

Mr Flobadob's racing career started in May 2008, entering his first season in the "F1 Gamers" league. His first season was fairly successful, scoring rostrum finishes at various points, but it wasn't until his second season that a dramatic first win was claimed on the final lap at Australia. Mr Flobadob's lack of setup knowledge proved to be his Achilles heel, as he failed to win again in F1 Gamers, despite coming close many times. After a while, he moved onto rFactor, with a league he co-founded, called the "Global Racing League". Mr Flobadob has seen much success here, with over a dozen victories, but so far, has missed out on the Championship twice. In the third season of GRL Mr Flobadob at last achieved his goal of winning the Championship, by beating his Championship rival in a tense showdown at the final race.

During this period, he decided to buy an XBOX 360 in order to play games online with his friends. The first racing game he played was Race Driver GRID, followed by Forza Motorsport 3, which he later traded in, as, at the time, none of his friends played it and he knew of no leagues that used the game. His most recent racing game on the XBOX 360 has been F1 2010, where he met the founders of RRR in the F1Fanatic.co.uk league. Due to an eventual lack of interest, this league folded.

RRR Career

After keeping an eye on the RRR league on Forza, he decided to buy the game again in order to link up with drivers such as Ajokay and RumblyLizard.

Season 2: RRRTCC

He joined RRR just before the second season, entering in the RumbLee Racing team. This was a learning year for Mr Flobadob, as he tried hard to get to grips with Forza and making setups. It was not until the final few rounds that he found his feet and started to challenge. Mistakes hampered him though, losing a possible victory at Silverstone. He ended the season on a high though, equalling his best finish of the season with a 4th placed finish.

Season 3: 4zaMC

Season 3 saw a much-improved performance from Mr Flobadob, with him achieving his target of podiums and fastest laps. His season didn't start all that well though, collecting few points in the first three rounds, and then finding himself unable to take part in the Top Gear race, leaving him utterly heartbroken. Things picked up after that though, as he regularly scored good points and quickly moved up the Championship table, gatecrashing the Ajokay-Bookoi war in the process.

RRRF12011C

Mr Flobadob joined in on the F1 2011 fun for the last three rounds of the Championship, performing worse than a drunk Jean-Denis Deletraz.

Season 4: HGTM

This season Mr Flobadob aimed for his first win, continuing his steady improvement. Hopes of a first win did not come to fruition but there was a clear improvement as Flob was a consistent podium challenger and possibly would've finished higher up in the final championship standings had he not missed most of the second half of the season due to personal commitments.

F1 Asian Series

The second F1 season marked a breakthrough for Mr Flobadob, as he at last secured his first career win in the Malaysian Sprint Race. Other than that, it was a fairly quiet season, with several podium finishes and a fourth-place finish in the championship.

Season 5: MEMES

Season 5 was a frustrating one for Flob, as he struggled initially, being one of the few Lobby 1 drivers not to be using the clutch. By mid-season though, he had started using it and was much closer to the pace. His hopes for a first Forza win were not helped by him not getting on at all with his Lancia Stratos, but the last few events did yield three podiums on Flob's way to a 10th place championship finish.

F1 Summer Series

The third and final F1 2011 series was a successful one for Flob, as he made his first title challenge of his career at that point, challenging FlavouryRug right up to the final race. Unfortunately for Flob, he failed to amass enough points in the final round to win the championship, but it was still a season to be proud of, with consistent finishes and two wins leading to a third place finish overall.

Season 6: OSCAR

Although Flob immensely enjoyed this season, it was a poor one results-wise, with inconsistent results, and the only highlight being a first Forza win in the final race of the season, which also happened to be his chosen race. Mr Flobadob did have at least 2 other opportunities to win during the season, such as his first appearance at Positano, racing Vauxhall Agila's, where he pushed eventual-winner Shouty hard all the way to the flag. Flob also could've won at Road America, with the Mazda Furai's. A brilliant drive through the field was wrecked with a collision with the pit wall when being overtaken by title-winner Smifaye, ruining any hopes of a win. A poor season ended with finishing ninth in the final standings.

Season 7: GTSSS

The Grand Touring Super Sprint Series was the first to host a support series alongside the main one. Whilst the support series (Trofeo MiTo) heralded no real success as Flob struggled with the handling characteristics of the car, the main series was much better as, once Flob began using his team-mates car setups, he climbed the standings, culminating in an excellent win at Suzuka. An improved season ended with him finishing it in fifth in the drivers championship.

Season 8: Nihon Tour

Nihon Tour proved to be a great season for Flob, as he really hit it off with his Honda Civic, and was able to mount a late charge for the Championship, with only the consistency of Smifaye stopping Flob from snatching the title at the last two events. It was a sticky start to the season with a couple of finishes outside the top 10, but a stunning drive from the back to 3rd place at Iberia was the catalyst for improvement, as a string of podiums put Flob in contention. A poor event overall in Tsukuba was thought to have ended Flobs hopes, but that only spurred him on as he won 3 out of the last 4 races to narrowly miss out on the title, finishing 2nd overall.
